Eventrise review
Ranked first of 13 for independent venues, theaters, festivals and community organizers.
Answer in brief
Our pick for independents. Ticket money reaches your own Stripe account as each order clears, the fee is a flat 5% plus Stripe at cost, and seat maps need no plan upgrade.

From event creation to after the show
Eventrise is one platform for the whole run of an event, built to help organizers sell more tickets and run the night with less staff time. Every feature comes standard on every event, with no plan tiers.
Create
Hosted event pages, or ticketing embedded on your own site with an iframe or the WordPress plugin. Duplicate an event with its ticket types, checkout form and seat map, so a weekly show is set up in seconds. A visual seat map editor for rows, tables and sections.
Sell
Unlimited ticket types with their own prices, caps and sale windows (early bird, VIP, student, member). Promo codes, add-ons such as parking, merch or drink packages, and custom checkout questions answered per ticket. Buyers pick their own seats on a live map.
Run the day
A mobile check-in app that scans QR codes on any phone and works offline. Box office sales at the door. Role-based access so door staff see only the door. Attendees transfer tickets and update their own details.
After the show
Real-time sales reports, daily email summaries and attendee lists you can export. Your Stripe account holds the money and the customer relationship, and Eventrise does not market to your audience. A free API, webhooks and an MCP server connect your data to your own tools.
Eventrise pricing
Eventrise charges a 5% platform fee plus Stripe processing at cost (2.9% + $0.30). Fees are added at checkout by default, so you keep 100% of the ticket price. Reserved seating adds $1 per seated ticket, shown to the buyer at checkout. You can choose to absorb fees on any event. Free events cost $0.
A $25 general admission ticket costs the buyer $27.35: $1.25 platform fee and $1.10 Stripe processing. The organizer receives $25.00.
How Eventrise pays you
You connect your own Stripe account. Each order is paid into it as it clears, so ticket revenue is in your balance weeks before the show, on Stripe’s normal payout schedule to your bank. Eventrise never holds the money until after the event.
Who should look elsewhere
If you need a ticket marketplace that sends new buyers to your event, Eventrise has none: you bring your audience. Registered nonprofits selling fundraiser tickets may pay less on Zeffy. Large stadiums buying on multi-year contracts are not who Eventrise is built for.
