Ticketing payout times compared
When the money from each ticket reaches the organizer, as each platform publishes it.
Answer in brief
Eventrise pays organizers as tickets sell, into their own Stripe account. Ticket Tailor does the same through your Stripe, PayPal or Square account. Eventbrite starts payouts three business days after the event; DICE, Humanitix’s own gateway, Showpass and TicketLeap also pay after the show.

Why payout timing ranks first
An event’s costs arrive before its revenue: the venue deposit, the artist guarantee, staff, printing, fencing. When the ticketing platform holds sales until after the show, the organizer pays those bills from savings, a credit card or a loan.
Some platforms offer early payouts for a price. Eventbrite holds 20% of net sales in reserve on pre-event payouts, and its Instant Payouts cost 3% per payout ($2.99 minimum, $40 maximum) and are not available on a first paid event.
Questions to ask any platform
- Does ticket money go into an account in my name, or the platform’s?
- When does the first payout happen for a new organizer?
- Is any share held back as a reserve, and until when?
- What does an early payout cost?
